Obituary of Paulette Lorentzen
Paulette Lorentzen, 83, of Edison, passed away Monday, February 28, 2022 at the Venetian Care & Rehabilitation Center in South Amboy. Paulette was born in Ussel, France to the late Pierre and Marianne Tinlot and came to the United States in 1957. She had lived in Woodbridge for twenty years before moving to Edison over thirty years ago.
Paulette was a Licensed Practical Nurse and had been employed by JFK Hartwyck at Edison Estates for over twenty years before retiring in 2005.
She enjoyed gardening and had a great love for flowers and growing her own vegetables. She was an avid reader and especially enjoyed historical non-fiction.
Paulette was predeceased by her daughter Christine Kiss in 2014.
Surviving are her son Roy J. Lorentzen of Edison, her two daughters: JoAnn Kulick and husband Martin of Sewaren, and Linda M. Skidmore and husband Harry of Lost Creek, WV her sister: Andre Bourbon of France, seven grandchildren Liane, Kristine, Stephanie, Evan, Jesse, Sarah and Lyndsey, her great granddaughter Rebekah and several nieces and a nephew in France.
Paulette loved many pets throughout her life and also leaves behind her cherished cat, Whiskers.
A Memorial visitation will be held Sunday March 13, 2022 at the Mitruska Funeral Home, 531 New Brunswick Ave.in Fords. Funeral services will be held at 5:30 pm Sunday evening. In lieu of cut flower arrangements, please consider donations to the Woodbridge Animal Group, PO Box 133, Sewaren, NJ 07077 or an offering of flower bulbs or live plants to be used in a planned memorial garden for Paulette.
