Obituary of Piroska Helyes

Piroska Helyes, 77, of Fords, passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at her home. Piroska was born in Hungary to the late Jozsef and Maria Helyes. She came to the US in 1956 and had previously lived in Perth Amboy before moving to Fords over fifty years ago. She was employed by Gulton Industries in Metuchen for thirty years before retiring in 2004. Piroska was a member of the Most Holy Name of Jesus Parish-Our Lady of Hungary Church in Perth Amboy. She was predeceased by four brothers and one sister. Surviving are her brother: George Helyes of Toms River, her two sisters: Teresa H. Staudinger of Clifton, and Ilona Bors of Hungary and also many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday 10 at the Mitruska Funeral Home, Inc., 531 New Brunswick Ave., Fords. Interment will follow in the Our Lady f Hungary Cemetery also in Fords. Visitation hours will be held Sunday afternoon from 3 - 5 pm.
