Obituary of Carmella Erli

Carmella Erli, 91, of Hopelawn, passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at her home. Mrs. Erli was born in Linden to the late James and Josephine Renda and had lived the last sixty three years in Hopelawn. She was a homemaker, in her younger years Carmella was employed as a seamstress for the Princeton shirt factory in Hopelawn. She was a member of Hopelawn Seniors and the Hopelawn VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. Erli was predeceased by her husband Andrew Erli in 2006,a daughter Marlene Lestuck in 2013, a grandson George Ondeyko in 2013 and a brother Anthony Renda. She is survived by her two sons, Andrew J. Erli and his wife Lorraine of Toms River, Steven Erli of Hopelawn, her three daughters, Joann Ondeyko of Hopelawn, Kathleen Felipe of Sayreville, Lisa M. Petz and her husband Kevin of Hopelawn, twelve grandchildren and twenty two great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday 10:00 am at the Mitruska Funeral Home, Inc., 531 New Brunswick Ave., Fords. Entombment will follow in the Cloverleaf Memorial Park Mausoleum in Woodbridge. Visiting Hours will be Friday 4 to 8 pm. at the funeral home.
