Obituary of Ralph P. Caruso
Ralph P. Caruso, 66, of Hopelawn, passed away Thursday, November 17, 2016 at JFK Haven Hospice in Edison after a valiant battle with bone cancer. Mr. Caruso was born in Jersey City and had lived in Hopelawn for the last forty-one years.
Ralph was a machine mechanic and worked at various companies throughout the years, most recently at the FedEx receiving terminal at Newark Liberty International Airport, until 2002.
Ralph enjoyed playing chess and had a love of music. He was an avid fisherman and fan of horse racing.
He was predeceased by his brother, Benjamin Caruso, and his step-father, Charlie Ferguson.
He is survived by his loving wife of forty-six years, Laraine (Kress) Caruso; his beloved daughter, Lori J. Miller and her husband Scott of South Plainfield; two dear grandchildren, Sophia and Charlie; his mother, Helen Ferguson; his brother, Eugene Newton; his nephew Kevin Newton; and his grand-nephews, Eathan and Mikah Newton.
Visitation hours will be held Saturday from 1 pm to 5 pm at the Mitruska Funeral Home, 531 New Brunswick Ave. in Fords. Private cremation services to follow.
