Obituary of Margaret Mackay
Margaret ''Midge'' Mackay, 93, of Edison, passed away Monday, July 25, 2016 at the Heritage at Clara Barton-ALP in Edison. Mrs. Mackay was born in Perth Amboy to the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Stucz) Galambos and had previously lived in Fords before moving to Edison nineteen years ago.
Mrs. Mackay was the owner of Midge's Beauty Nook in Carteret for fifty years before retiring in 1987.
She was a member of Our Lady Of Peace RC Church in Fords.
She was predeceased by her husband beloved Gus Mackay in 1983 and her dear son Greg Mackay in 2006.
Surviving are her two daughters: Carol DeFalco and husband Thomas Jorishie of Phoenix, AZ and Claudine Lindquist and husband Gary of Howell, four grandchildren: Anthony J. DeFalco of Tuscaloosa, AL, Paul DeFalco of Rockaway,Christine Lindquist of Toms River and Angela Figueroa of Point Pleasant and one great grandson Thomas DeFalco of Tuscaloosa, AL.
Services will be held Monday 10:00 am at the Mitruska Funeral Home, Inc., 531 New Brunswick Ave., Fords. Followed by a 10:30 am Memorial Mass in the Our Lady of Peace Church also in Fords. Relatives and friends may pay respects Monday morning from 9 am to 10 am at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Haven Hospice, c/o The JFK Medical Center Foundation, 80 James Street, Edison, NJ 08817-9972
