I remember Robert as a very friendly and caring individual. He was very dedicated to his students and athletes. I recall he always spoke fondly
of his wife and family. He never tried to dodge any assignment that was given to him. He certainly will be missed.
Sincerely,
Frank M. Sinatra

My sympathies on the death of Mr. Gatyas, whom I knew as a high school student in 1973-77. He was one of the dedicated faculty that made Perth Amboy a memorable place. I pray God give him eternal rest and his family His consolation until they one day join him in our true homeland.
Mr. Gaytas…not only were you my Drivers Ed teacher, for several years me and Mrs. Gaytas thought you would be my Father-in-law. I loved your youngest son as much as life itself (as you know). Gary was my first love and my forever friend and you and the Gaytas family have always been a special part of my life for almost 50 years. Rest in Heaven Sir. May God keep watch over Mrs. Gaytas in the days, months ahead and to all the family my sincere condolences. Michele Sisolak (Daye)
