Obituary of Sylvia C. Albrecht
Sylvia C. Albrecht, 82, of Farmingdale, passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at her home. Mrs. Albrecht was born in Hazelton, PA to the late William and Mary Giedosh and had previously lived in Jersey City, Carteret and Port Reading before she moving to Farmingdale three years ago.
She was employed by the Township of Woodbridge as a coordinator in the Office of Emergency Management for twenty five years before retiring in 2009. Previously she worked as a licensed practical nurse. She was a member of The Parish Family of St. Anthony of Padua Church, Port Reading and the Ladies auxiliary V.F.W. post Carteret and the National Poet Society and loved to write poems.
Sylvia was predeceased by her husband John C. Albrecht Sr. in 2004 and a brother Steven Giedosh. She is survived by her two daughters, Jill Cichanowsky and her husband Myron of Farmingdale, NJ, Beth Miller and her husband Kevin of Oxford, NJ her son, John C. Albrecht Jr. of East Brunswick, NJ. and her one brother, Bill Giedosh of Port St. Lucie, FL, Eight grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation hours will be held Friday from 8:00 am till time of Service. Funeral services will be held Friday 10:00 am at the Mitruska Funeral Home, Inc., 531 New Brunswick Ave., Fords. Followed by a 10:30 am mass in The Parish Family of St. Anthony of Padua Church, Port Reading. Interment will follow in the Cloverleaf Memorial Park Cemetery in Woodbridge.
