Obituary of George Torhan

George Torhan, 85, of Fords, passed away Thursday, July 21, 2022 at his home. Mr. Torhan was born in Vinna, Czechoslovakia to the late Michael and Maria Torhan. Hecame to The U.S.A. In 1945 and Lived In Perth Amboy before moving to Fords fifty seven years ago. Mr. Torhan was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam war. He was employed by Simmons Precision B.F. Goodrich in Cedar Knolls NJ before retiring in 2000. George was predeceased by three brothers. He is survived by his loving wife Arlene Torhan, one son, Michael Torhan of Pittsburgh, PA. two daughters, Mary Ann Grennen and her husband John D. of Spotswood, and Laura Keefe and her husband Steve of Asbury, five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Sunday 2:3 0 pm at the Mitruska Funeral Home, Inc., 531 New Brunswick Ave., Fords. Private cremation will follow in the Rosehill Crematory in Linden. Visitation hours will be held Sunday from 2:00 to 3:00 pm.
