Obituary of Diana Joan Sabatino
Diana Joan Sabatino, 84, a fifty-seven year resident of Hopelawn, passed away Thursday, July 22, 2021 at her home.
Diana was a wonderfully talented baker and was famous for her creations. She was the baker for Pathmark in Hopelawn for ten years prior to retiring in 1999.
She was a member and vice president of the Ford's Women's Club and also a member of the Hickory Center Seniors Club of Fords.
Diana loved arts and crafts. She especially enjoyed crocheting, latch hook, and needlepoint canvas stitching.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband Joseph in 2016.
Surviving are her two sons: Joseph W. Sabatino Jr. and wife Ann of Chesapeake, VA and Adam A. Sabatino of Hopelawn, four daughters; Donna Marie Wilson of Tampa, FL, Carol J. Hirschen and husband Alfred of Plainsboro, Karen D. Thomas and husband Scott of Monroe and Michelle Sabatino of Hopelawn, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday 10 am at the Mitruska Funeral Home, 531 New Brunswick Ave. in Fords. Interment will follow in the Cloverleaf Memorial Park Cemetery on Woodbridge. Visitation hours will be Thursday afternoon from 2 to 4 pm.
