Obituary of Erwin John Dugasz Sr.
Erwin John Dugasz Sr., 91, of Fords, passed away Sunday, July 18, 2021 at the Clark Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Clark. Mr. Dugasz was born in Perth Amboy to the late Ernest and Mary Dugasz and had resided in Fords for the last sixty three years.
Mr. Dugasz was a US Air Force Veteran of the Korean war.
He was a professional photographer and owner of Erwin's Studio in Fords for over forty years. Erwin was also employed during that time as a photographer for Bell Labs.
He was a member of the Most Holy Name of Jesus Parish- Our lady of Hungary Church in Perth Amboy and a member of the OLH Holy Name Society. He was also a member of the Professional Photographers Association.
In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his brother William Dugasz and his sister Mary Symanski.
Surviving are his devoted wife, of sixty three years, Margaret (Drahos) Dugasz, his three sons: Erwin J. Dugasz Jr. and wife Pamela, Paul Dugasz and wife Nancy and David Dugasz and wife Tracey, his three daughters: Linda Sabo, Gail Quick and husband Michael and Lora Baker and husband Kenneth, sixteen grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday 10:00 am at the Mitruska Funeral Home, Inc., 531 New Brunswick Ave., Fords. Followed by a 10:30 am mass in the Most Holy Name of Jesus Parish- Our Lady of Hungary Church in Perth Amboy. Interment will follow in the Our Lady of Hungary Cemetery in Fords. Visitation hours will be held Thursday from 4 - 7 pm. In Lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
