Obituary of Mary Kovach

Mary Kovach, 94, of Long Valley (Washington Township), passed away Sunday, June 7, 2020 at the Roosevelt Care Center in Old Bridge. Mrs. Kovach was born in Perth Amboy to the late John and Barbara Zamko and had lived in Perth Amboy before moving to Long Valley twenty- four years ago. Mrs. Kovach had been employed by Barney's Upholstery in Perth Amboy for twenty-five years prior to becoming the owner/operator of B&M Market on Brace Ave. in Perth Amboy for fifteen years before retiring in 1988. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Bernard in 1988, her sister, Helen Yackman and also by a great granddaughter. Mary is survived by her two daughters: Maryann Stisi and husband Donald of Hopelawn, and Rosemarie Kaiser and husband Ludwig of Long Valley, her sister: Anna Bojsza of Howell, three grandchildren, four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Private funeral services will be held at the Mitruska Funeral Home, Inc., 531 New Brunswick Ave., Fords. Interment will follow in the St. Nicholas Cemetery in Perth Amboy.
