Obituary of Roy M Sakariasen

Roy M Sakariasen, 60, of Fords, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2020 at home. Mr. Sakariasen was born in Brooklyn, NY to the late Robert and the late Mildred Zimmermann Sakariasen and had lived in Fords for the last fifteen years. Roy was an auto mechanic and was employed by Wizard Auto in Brooklyn for forty-two years. He is survived by his fiancée Arlene Rusak, his two sisters: Lorrie Boles of Fords and Carol Sciacchitano of Metuchen, his brother Keith Sakariasen of Brooklyn, two step-daughters: Aimee Hayes and her husband Daniel of Marlboro and Kimberly Rusak of Parlin, one grandson Nathan Hayes and also by several nieces and nephews. Roy was a gentle giant with a heart of gold. He will be remembered for his infectious laugh and a smile bigger than life. His biggest joy was spending time with his best buddy Nathan. The light of our lives has dimmed but will never go out. We have wonderful memories and love that will last forever. Due to the COVID crisis, private funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of the Mitruska Funeral Home.
