Obituary of Elvira Horvath
Elvira Horvath, 97, of Whiting, passed away Monday, June 10, 2019 at Whiting Health Care in Manchester. Mrs. Horvath was born in Perth Amboy, to the late Frank and Catherine Esposito and had previously lived in Fords for many years before moving to Whiting.
She was employed as a clerk for Ar-Ex Pharmacy in Fords for twenty years before retiring in 2000.
Elvira was a member of the Our Lady of Peace RC Church in Fords. She was also a member of the OLP K of C Columbiettes, the Fords VFW Ladies Auxiliary and a long time volunteer for Deborah Hospital.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband Michael in 1995 and also by two brothers, George and Adam Esposito.
Surviving are her daughter Carol Hauck and husband Howard of Whiting, her son Michael Horvath Jr. and wife Patricia of Parlin, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday 10 am at the Mitruska Funeral Home, 531 New Brunswick Ave. in Fords. Followed by a 10:30 am mass in the Our Lady of Peace Church, also in Fords. Entombment will follow in the Woodbridge Memorial Gardens in Woodbridge. Visitation hours will be held Tuesday from 5pm to 7pm.
