Obituary of Delia Zorida Vazquez

Delia Zorida Vazquez, 61, of Woodbridge, passed away Monday, May 13, 2019 at the Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy. Delia was born in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico and came to the US at age 13. She had previously lived in Perth Amboy, before moving to Woodbridge twenty-four years ago.

She was employed as a superintendent by the Woodbridge Housing Authority for twenty years prior to her retirement in 2017.

She was predeceased by her mother Felipa Anadelia Valentin Nieves and also by her brother Jose Luis Nieves Sr.

Surviving are her daughter : Zindia Deliz Vazquez and husband Fabian of Woodbridge, her son Antony Joevany Vazquez also of Woodbridge, her father Modesto Nieves of Hopelawn, her brothers Modesto Nieves Jr. of Carteret and Pedro Nieves of Perth Amboy, her grandson Steven and her loving companion of four years, Alexander Adams.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial service which will be held Saturday, May 18, 2019 from 4pm to 6pm, at the Mitruska Funeral Home, 531 New Brunswick Ave in Fords.
