I only just discovered the news of Ralph's passing these many years later. I knew Ralph back in the mid 80s. We were both members of the Playwriting Unit at the T. Schreiber Studio, liked each other, and hung out from time to time, sometimes at the comic book store where he worked. I particularly liked Ralph's humor, along with his writing. He had a genuine gift. I left NYC in the 90s, changed my course into teaching. I teach theatre history and playwriting and I pulled out Say Goodnight Gracie to interest one of my directing students in possibly staging it. And that led me to go online which led me here.
I'm sorry that he's gone. It is said that people will live as long as they are remembered and are killed only by forgetfulness. I remember Ralph.
