Obituary of Raymond J. Passalacqua
Raymond J. Passalacqua, 85, of Hammondsport, NY passed away Saturday, February 2, 2019 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira, NY. Mr. Passalacqua was born in Perth Amboy to the late Raymond and Madeline Passalacqua and had resided in Fords for many years before moving to Hammondsport six years ago.
Mr. Passalacqua was a retired Senior Master Sergeant of the US Air Force. He faithfully served his country for thirty three before retiring in 1993.
He was a life member and ex-Chief of the Fords Fire Co. #1. He was also a member of the United Exempts Fireman's Association of Keasbey, Fords and Hopelawn, a life member of the VFW and a life member of the American Legion Post 407.
Raymond was predeceased by his beloved wife, Barbara in 2001.
Surviving are his two daughters: Marianne Calafiore and husband Gary of Hammondsport, NY and Lori Ann McGuire and husband Thomas of Sterling, NJ, his son Dennis Passalacqua of Fords, six grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday 10:00 am at the Mitruska Funeral Home, Inc., 531 New Brunswick Ave., Fords. Interment will follow in the St. Gertrude's Cemetery in Colonia. Visitation hours will be held Friday evening from 6 to 8 pm. The Fords Fire Co. and United Exempts will hold services Friday evening at 7 pm at the funeral home.
