John was the most kind and loyal person anyone could ever know. John Hornyak and his family have been in my life for longer than I can remember, something north of 50 years. He was truly my fathers life long best friend and anyone who knew my father would know what a feat that was! I remember John's mother Helen's wonderful cooking, sewing and smile. I have an standing image of John's father, taking a cigarette break outside the back door of Herbert Hoover JHS. I remember when John got "Bucky" his Brittney Spaniel, and when he'd come down to the boat in Sea Bright with his brother Bobby in tow in the late 70's. I remember that pick-up truck of his. But most of all I will remember and cherish the memories I have of John during the time at the Cabin in PA. The endless winter weekends we all spent together snowmobiling and then in the late 80's when snow got shy, Four-Wheeler's. I remember nights out at the Circle V lounge square dancing in snowmobile bibs when I was no more than 12 or 13. I remember when he first met Sharon and how happy he was on their wedding day. But more than anything else I will remember John's absolute kindness and always knowing he would be there. I will so miss that signature grin of his! John you will forever be in my heart, Love Shelly Asprocolas.
