Obituary of Dolores M. Roth

Dolores M. Roth, 80, of Jackson, passed away Sunday, July 16, 2017 at The Rehab Center at Wedgwood Gardens in Freehold. Dolores was born in Perth Amboy to the late Florian and Anna Hoffman and had previously lived in Perth Amboy before moving to Jackson seventeen years ago. She was employed by Herman's Sporting Goods in Carteret as a secretary for ten years before retiring in 1996. Previously, she had been employed by the Our Lady of Hungary grammar school in Perth Amboy. Mrs. Roth was a former member of the Most Holy Name of Jesus Parish-Our Lady of Hungary Church in Perth Amboy, the church's choir and Sodality club.

Dolores' grandchildren and great grandson were the lights of her life. She spent much of her time spending every precious moment with them, watching them grow, nurturing their talents and loving each of them in their own special way.

Dolores was predeceased by four sisters, Anna Dorio, Barbara Gerity, Mary Koncsos and Helen Lentvorsky and by three brothers Frank, John and Joseph Meszaros.

She is survived by her son, Joseph Roth of Florida, her daughter, Nancy A. Ferrara and husband Anthony of Jackson, her brother, Edward Hoffman of Wayne, her sister, Elizabeth Emmons of Wrightstown, five grandchildren, Amanda, Michael, Sarah, Kathryn, and Christina, one great grandson Zachary, daughter in law Karen Pizzirusso of Barnegat, and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Friday July 28, 2017 at 11:30 am at the Mitruska Funeral Home, Inc., 531 New Brunswick Ave., Fords. Interment of ashes will follow in the Our Lady of Hungary Cemetery in Fords. Friends and relatives are invited to pay their respects Friday morning from 10 am until 11:30 am.
