Obituary of Magdolna K. Helyes

Magdolna K. Helyes, , of Old Bridge, passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at the Roosevelt Care Center in Old Bridge. Mrs. Helyes was born in Kaba, Hungary , to the late Lajos Csukas and Julianna Haja Csukas and had lived in Edison before moving to Old Bridge thirty-two years ago. Mrs. Helyes was employed by RCA in Avenel for eight years and then went on to work as a line tender for Revlon in Edison for two years before her retirement in 1972. She was a member of the Hungarian "Magyar" Reformed Church of Perth Amboy. Magdolna was predeceased by her dear son Antal L. Helyes in 2008 and also by her step- brother Lajos and her step-sister Etus. Surviving are her beloved husband of fifty seven years, Antal Helyes, her loving daughter Lisa Vasarhelyi and husband Laszlo of South River, her two sisters, Ilona Bagi and Irene Csukas both of Hungary and her four grandchildren Maximus, Julia, Chelsea, and Emily. Funeral services will be held Saturday 10:30 am at the Mitruska Funeral Home, 531 New Brunswick Ave. in Fords. Entombment will follow in the Woodbridge Memorial Gardens in Woodbridge. Visitation hors will be held Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Hungarian " Magyar" Reformed Church, 331 Kirkland Place, Perth Amboy, NJ 08861.
